What you get
Your world is always reachable, no host needed.
In Steam co-op the world only exists while the host is online. On a dedicated server anyone in your group can keep building at any time.
Enshrouded is normally configured in enshrouded_server.json. With us every slider sits in the customer portal, named and explained, from day length to boss strength.

The values our template starts with.
The official Enshrouded server is a Windows program. We run it on Linux with Proton, so our template starts with 8 GB of memory, even for small groups.
Ports are preconfigured and shown in the customer portal. You do not need to open anything.

Playing in four steps
From order to first Flame Altar.
Pick Enshrouded in the shop and choose the player count.
Pay. The server sets itself up and starts.
Set server name, password and rules in the portal, then restart.
In game open the server list, search for your server name and join.

Worth knowing
The pitfalls we found ourselves.
- Individual sliders need the "Custom" preset
- Enshrouded only reads the individual sliders when the game mode preset is "Custom". With any other preset its fixed values apply, whatever the sliders say.
- Changes need a restart
- The server reads its settings only on start. After changing something in the portal, restart it once.
- Some patience on the very first start
- On its first start the server creates its files. Settings you changed before then reliably apply from the second start.

How many players fit on the server?
Up to 16. That is the limit Enshrouded sets for dedicated servers. Our template starts at 4.

Can I bring my co-op world?
Yes. Upload the save via SFTP into the server save folder. Make a backup in the portal first.

Why do my sliders change nothing?
Most likely the "Custom" preset is not selected. Only then does Enshrouded read the individual values. Restart the server afterwards.

How do I find the server in game?
Through the in-game server list. Search for the server name you entered in the portal.
