01
What you get
A world for your group that persists.
HumanitZ is a top-down zombie survival game with base building, vehicles and co-op. On a dedicated server your world persists and anyone in the group can join whenever they like.
With us the server settings live in the customer portal instead of a config file. You decide whether you play against each other, how tough the zombies are and whether death is final.
02
Hardware and ports
The values our template starts with.
Our template starts with 6 GB of memory. For full servers with many zombies and large bases we recommend 8 GB.
Ports are preconfigured and shown in the customer portal. You do not need to open anything.

| Memory (minimum) | 6 GB |
| Memory (recommended) | 8 GB |

Worth knowing
So your world runs the way you want.
- Agree on the rules first
- PvP, permadeath and territory protection change the game fundamentally. Agree beforehand and set them before the group starts.
- Whitelist for closed groups
- With the whitelist only approved players can join. That is safer than a password alone, which can be passed on.
- Keep the save interval short
- The save interval sets how often the server saves the world. The shorter it is, the less progress a crash can cost.

01
How many players fit on the server?
Our template goes from 4 to 16 players. You can change the number later in the portal.
02
Can I allow PvP only in some areas?
PvP is on or off for the whole server. With territory protection, bases in PvE mode are protected from other players.
03
Can I bring my world?
Yes. Upload the save via SFTP and enter its name in the portal under "Save name". Make a backup first.
04
Do changes need a restart?
Yes. The server reads its settings on start. After changing something in the portal, restart it once.
